The Weekend Agenda: 10/7/16 – 10/916

It’s the first FULL weekend of October, and I’m thoroughly excited because I’m hitting the road and getting out of town. Well, it’s only a trip to Atlanta to do a concert shoot, but, hey, a road trip is a road trip.

That being said, let’s take a look at what’s happening with the weekend as a whole…

Pierce The Veil Weekend

(Pierce The Veil returns to The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia on October 7th, 2016.)

In just a few hours, I’ll be pointing the car towards Atlanta as I’ll be photographing the show by Pierce The Veil tonight at The Tabernacle. I love shooting at The Tabernacle, and I love shooting Pierce The Veil at The Tabernacle. This will be my second opportunity to do so, and I’m expecting nothing but the best tonight.

Even though Birmingham is my home base, I do love getting to Atlanta to cover shows as there is a great group of local photographers in the city that I enjoy working with at concerts. The Tabernacle is also a fantastic venue and managed by a fantastic staff so all that together makes for a great experience.

If you’re feeling up to it and want to check out this show, more information can be found by visiting http://www.tabernacleatl.com/EventDetail?tmeventid=0E0050EFD679BC02&offerid=0.

For those staying in the Birmingham area tonight, there is a lot happening in and around the city, but I recommend checking out the show by Lucero at Saturn Birmingham. Information about that performance can be found by visiting http://www.saturnbirmingham.com/event/1250585-lucero-birmingham/.

Electric Six Weekend

(Electric Six returns to Saturn Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama on October 8th, 2016.)

The agenda for Saturday is simple: Editing photos from Pierce The Veil, watching a lot of football, and then heading out to Saturn Birmingham to not only watch Alabama vs. Arkansas at 6:00 P.M. but to photograph the show by Electric Six directly after that game ends.

Timing will work out great in this instance as the Electric Six show won’t start until 9:00 P.M., and there’s two opening acts before the headliner. Even if Alabama vs. Arkansas goes late, no one will miss the main performance by Electric Six, which should be highly entertaining. I photographed them last year and really enjoyed what I saw.

If you feel like making Saturn your base of operation on Saturday, check out ticket information for the Electric Six show at http://www.saturnbirmingham.com/event/1251145-electric-six-birmingham/.

WWE No Mercy

(WWE No Mercy takes places on Sunday, October 9th.)

Plain and simple, I don’t expect to be doing much of anything on Sunday, outside of editing the Electric Six photos. I have a feeling the events of Friday and Saturday will run me ragged so I’m looking forward to resting up on Sunday, watching a little NFL, and then catching “No Mercy” on the WWE Network along with Westworld on HBO.

That’s a pretty exciting day, don’t you think?

That’s the weekend for me. Did I miss something I should be aware of to the point of checking it out? If so, send it my way!
