The Weekend Agenda: 6/17/16 – 6/19/16

Summer keeps trucking along, and we’re at another weekend in the fine month of June. Honestly, there’s not much happening in terms of “special events” to promote, but I still have quite a bit on my slate these next couple of days. I also hope my schedule during the week slows down a bit so I can get back to doing regular updates here, but, hey, it’s the summer so a lull should have been expected.

Anyways… let’s take a look at what’s on the agenda…

Karaoke Saturn Weekend

(Karaoke fans might want to check out Saturn Birmingham on Friday. )

The majority of my Friday night will be spent working an event job so, yeah, I don’t have much planned. I’m not complaining because, well, getting paid trumps anything else I could have done. I think all of you would agree with that.

There is a fun sounding event at Saturn Birmingham happening, though. The venue is doing a “Mr. Microphone Karaoke” event. If that’s your thing, the fun starts at 8:00 P.M. and it’s completely free. You can check out more information by visiting¬†

Lonne Holley Weekend

(Lonnie Holley performs at the Hoover Public Library on Saturday.)

I’ll be spending the bulk of Saturday at home and enjoying some good company with friends by the pool. The weather should be nice, the beer should be cold, and the pool should be rather refreshing. To say I’m looking forward to it is an understatement.

If you are looking for something to do, head on down to the Hoover Public Library at 7:30. My good friend Joel is putting on a show with Lonnie Holley performing. It sounds like it should be a fascinating performance. Check out more details by visiting

Game of Thrones Weekend

(“The Battle of The Bastards” on “Game of Thrones” should be rather epic.)

I don’t plan on leaving the house on Sunday for very good reason. It’s a holiday, it’s a Sunday, the weather should be nice to lounge in the pool some more, and there is an INSANE amount of events happening later that evening.

Sunday night will bring us the WWE’s Money in the Bank PPV, Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and “The Battle of The Bastards” episode on “Game of Thrones”. All three events will be overlapping at one point or another.

As the kids say, Sunday night is going to be lit.

That’s the weekend for me. Did I miss something I should be aware of to the point of checking it out? If so, send it my way!
