The Weekend Agenda: 5/20/16 – 5/22/16

The weekend is here, and we’re continuing to barrel right into summer. For some folks, the season is already here. For others, it’s just around the corner. Regardless, though, there are only a finite number of weekends to enjoy during the season so make the best of them.

Let’s take a look at what I have on the agenda for this particular weekend…

Governor Bentley Roast Saturn Weekend

(Mr. Burns… I mean Governor Bentley… is getting roasted at Saturn Birmingham.)

I don’t have a wedding or a concert shoot this weekend so my agenda is pretty free. That being said, though, I think I’ll find myself heading to Saturn Birmingham this particular evening to see a bit of comedy. As part of Birmingham’s Comedy Week, the venue is hosting “A Roast of Governor Bentley“. I’m sure the local comedians assembled will do the governor great justice, especially in regards to his most recent “personal” issues.

The show starts at 9:00 P.M. More information about the roast can be found by visiting http://www.saturnbirmingham.com/event/1169635-roast-governor-bentley-birmingham/.

Saturday, May 21st, 2016

Remember when I said I didn’t have a wedding or concert shoot this weekend? Well, this day it’ll really show because I literally have nothing planned. I’ll get out of the house at some point, but the location is up in the air. It might just be a drive around town, it might be a trip to the movies, and it might be just to lay out by the pool. I know you all are waiting anxiously to find out what I decide.

Regions Field Weekend

(Regions Field is a rather nice location for a day baseball game.)

I do have something planned for Sunday, and it should be a pretty active day. I’ll be heading to Regions Field with the family to check out my first Birmingham Barons game of the season. I do rather enjoy the Sunday afternoon games, especially when the weather is as nice as it will be on this particular day. We’ll also be celebrating my mother’s birthday, which was May 19th, so that’s an added bonus.

After that, I plan on getting home and catching “Extreme Rules”, the WWE’s big event for the month of May. It should be a decent show and do a good job of setting in motion the storylines that will shape the eventual Summerslam build in August.

That’s the weekend for me. Did I miss something I should be aware of to the point of checking it out? If so, send it my way!
